As a change from smoothies, I thought I would give smoothie bowls a try. After a couple of semi disasters due to adding too much liquid, think I’ve got it nailed! This one is absolutely yummy! Its a chocolatey desert without all the classic, not-so-healthy ingredients! Each spoonful is creamy-rich, and chocolatey; you will wonder why you don’t make healthy, dairy-free, chocolate deserts more often! This recipe is summer-perfect too
Additionally, adding toppings, some of which sink to the bottom, make the eating process more exciting than regular smoothie which disappears in one minute flat for me. Chewing helps me feel more satisfied, so I love adding that dimension to smoothies.
Ingredients
For the smoothie:
1 ripe banana,
1/2 an avocado,
1 heaped tsp cocoa powder,
1-2 cup natural yoghurt (or soya yoghurt for dairy free),
1 tsp Manuka honey,
Ice,
And a splash of almond milk.
Topping:
Gluten-free granola
Goji berries
Directions
Add all ingredients to blender. Blend until smooth. Add toppings. Serve right away. Enjoy with a spoon!
Really hope you like it if you try!
Smoothie bowls are my favorite! I’m the same way- need to chew to feel more satisfied. This sounds delicious!
Thanks lovely!
